Nanay, Iya, Ailyn and I were eating lunch at Chocolate Kiss. Iya was between me and Ailyn, staring at the opposite direction of the table.
Me: Ano tinitingnan mo dyan?
Iya: Ayun o nanay tingnan mo (pointing to the other table where a man and a woman was sitting)
Me: Wala naman akong nakikita ah..
Iya: May ibubulong ako sayo
(whispers) nagsusubuan sila
Me: Ano? Sino?
Iya: Sinusubuan ng girl..[yung boy]
… E malaki naman sya!
We couldn’t stop laughing! Oo nga naman!
One weekday morning we were on our way to work. I was carrying Iya towards the car. When we got inside, her yaya Ailyn came running from the back of the house.
Yaya Ailyn: Nagmadali akong bumaba sa puno kasi nakita ko kayo na bumaba.
Me: Ano ginagawa mo dun?
Yaya: Pumipitas ng bayabas
Me to Iya: Si yaya parang… (i didn’t want to continue because it’s derogatory but..)
Iya: Si yaya parang tsonggo!
Me: Alam mo ba ang tsonggo?
Iya: yes, monkey kasi umaakyat sya sa puno.
Another day on our way to work. Iya is at the back seat so I asked her to sit on me at front and give me a hug. Ayaw! I asked her three times and she still doesn’t want to, so I said “O sige na nga wag mo na akong akapin kapag dumating nalang si baby brother sya nalang aakapin ko” and she said “Nanay wag mo na isali sa usapan si baby brother!”
I was complaining because whenever people ask what is her name she kept on saying “Minnie mouse”. It’s because she loves Mickey mouse so naturally she wants to be his partner Minnie.
Iya: Ako si Minnie mouse.
Me: Ako si Minnie mouse.
Iya: Hindi, ako si Minnie mouse, ikaw si Mickey mouse, ano ka ba?
